Who we are
- Our company was spawned by our belief that people want quality
food, cooked fresh, eatin’ fresh all at affordable prices.
- We are experienced in the
food & service industry since 1998.
- Locally owned and operated to provide
service to Windsor, Essex & Kent counties.
- A company dedicated to filling a gap
in the market place between industrial caterers, using vacuum packed foods, and
controlled portion caterers, with pre-cooked food methods.
- A group of people
with a complete understanding and a commitment to providing complete client
satisfaction.
- Our company is founded on the belief that each client has specific
needs and requirements for their catered events. Standard caterers provide an
inflexible template solution. We provide customized worry free solutions that
deal with menu variety, location set-up, multiple service styles, and most
importantly pricing.
- We are extraordinary people providing extraordinary
catering service.
November 2009.

-
They fight fires together, they hunt together, they socialize together, and now Jeff Boughazale and Ken Carther own and run a successful business together.
In April, the duo began operation of Firehouse Catering. The name was a simple choice for Ken and Jeff as they are both Captains on the Kingsville Fire Department.
-
Their reasons for getting involved in a business may not seem as simple. You see, Jeff, who has previous experience in catering, owns and operates One Stop Car Wash, providing him with a full-time job. He is married with two young girls and also has his commitments to the Fire Department.
-
Ken is in a much similar position with a young daughter and full-time employment with ELK Energy. Yet when the opportunity came along for Jeff to start the business and for Ken to join him, both jumped in feet first.
“I had just sold a car wash in Belle River and was looking for something else to do,” explained Jeff. “I’m one of those people who has to be busy all of the time.”
Before opening the business, Jeff and Ken had prepared food for functions for Delta Waterfowl and the Kingsville Fire Department prior to taking their catering to a whole new level.
-
Since April, they have served at over 40 functions with crowds ranging in number from 100 to 400.
“We provide everything,” explained Jeff. “We have the staff, the silverware, the plates, the linens etc. Everything is cooked onsite and we use freshest food.”
Jeff and Ken look for as much locally grown and harvested product as possible.
“We go to the dock for fish and purchase from local growers,” continued Jeff.
As their website states, “Our company was spawned by our belief that people want quality food, cooked fresh, served fresh all at affordable prices.”
-
Ken and Jeff continually strive to give the customer what they want. This includes providing the customer quality cuisine that’s within their budget. Making any event worry free when it comes to the food is important for both gentlemen.
Since beginning in the business, Ken has enjoyed every minute. “The most important thing is the timing of the food,” he said. “It’s a lot of prep work. Jeff’s really taken me under his wing and showed me the business.”
-
The most challenging event for Firehouse Catering was a 400-person event in Woodslee. The duo and their staff came through with flying colours.
Giving back to the community is also very important to both gentlemen. They provided meals during the recent Kingsville Extreme Build. They also made a donation toward the Kingsville Fire Departments Fire Safety Trailer, and will be making an additional donation at a cancer fundraiser on November 28.
-
